Addon domains
Clients with a Web Hosting Plan can subdivide their hosting space with 'addon domains'. This means clients can host multiple websites from one single account.
For example, let's say your primary website is '123boats.com' but you have a second domain '123cars.com' where you want to build another website. Well, if you add this second domain as an 'addon' domain you can build the new website on the same hosting plan.
Effectively, what you are doing is dividing your existing hosting plan into two areas where each domain has its own website facilities.
Addon domains must be registered domain names that you own and that are configured to point to the server where your hosting plan is housed.
Here's how to do it ...
- login to your Control Panel
- click the link to 'addon domains'
- add your new domain name
An addon domain will have its own ftp login details and clients can specify what subdirectory the addon domain redirects to.
Remember to make sure the DNS are updated to point to your server. Check your Welcome Mail for confirmation of these settings.
