UK and TLD Domain Name Transfer
Use the form below to transfer an existing UK or TLD domain to Poldings Ltd. Please make sure you read the information below regarding the transfer of your domain name.
UK Domains (co.uk / org.uk / me.uk)
To transfer a UK domain, insert the domain name in the text box above, select the extension and submit the form.
The transfer of UK domains is free so there will be no charge and your invoice will be zero-rated. Once the order has completed you will need to contact your existing registrar and ask them to action the following instruction ...
"For my domain (change-domain.co.uk) please change the IPS Tag to: POLDINGS"
How long it takes depends upon when your existing registrar actions the request. The change should occur within 48 hours but if it takes longer then please chase your registrar to confirm the position.
When completed, the domain name will be added to your Billing Centre from where you can manage it at any time.
TLD Domains (com / net / biz / org / info)
Before you transfer a TLD domain, you need to do three things ...
1 - contact your existing registrar and ask them to provide an EPP Code so you can transfer the domain to another provider
2 - contact your existing registrar and ask them to unlock the domain and make it 'active' or ready transfer
3 - make sure the email address for the admin contact person of your domain, is valid and that you can receive email through it
Important
We need 10 days to complete the transfer process of TLD domains so make sure the domain has not expired and is not due to expire within the next 10 days.
What Next?

Insert the domain name in the text box above, select the extension and submit the form.
There is a charge for transferring these domain types which is equivalent to one year of the normal registration fee. Complete the order in the normal way to progress with the transfer request.
Once the order has been submitted, an email will be sent to the admin contact for the domain. This will arrive within 8 hours and will request confirmation you wish to transfer the domain.
You must follow the instructions in this email to confirm your agreement. If you do not receive this email within 24 hours, please let us know.
After you have replied to the email, the transfer will complete within 6 days and we will add it to your Billing Centre account.
Notations
We cannot transfer domains that are less than 60 days old. Please wait until the domain is at least 60 days old before attempting to transfer. Domain transfers add 1 year to the expiry date so the charge for transfer is reimbursed with this additional time. If a domain is reactivated from an expired state then additional fees may apply and/or the extra year may not be added to the expiry date.
